On Friday, August 10, 2007, the 25th Miss Holmen will be crowned at the Holmen High School Auditorium. The theme for the show is “Hometown Pride” and it features six intelligent and talented young women from the Holmen community who will be competing for the title. Our contestant this year are: Reanna Johnson, Meghann Knudtson, Elizabeth Kramer, Jaclyn Matt, Anna Pedretti, and Liz Rosendale.
Our Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening will be Jen O’Brien, a former Miss Sparta and current Program Director for Z-93. There will also be entertainment by Miss Holmen 2006, Katherine Weber, Miss Wisconsin 2007, Christina Thompson, and two dance groups from Julie’s School of Dance in Holmen.
There has been one change with the pageant this year. The show will begin at 7:00 p.m., one half hour earlier than past years. Tickets go on sale to the public on Monday, July 30th. Tickets can be ordered by phone by calling Donna at 526-3159. Any tickets that are not sold by Thursday, August 9th will be brought to the show on Friday. These tickets will be on sale in the Holmen High School lobby starting at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $14 and this includes a program book.
All former Miss Holmens have been invited back to join us for the pageant. We are excited to welcome many of them back and hear what they have been doing since they wore the crown. Everyone is invited to join in celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Miss Holmen Scholarship Program at the reception following the pageant at the Holmen American Legion.

We are back from Miss Wisconsin week in Oshkosh! Katherine did a great job representing our community of Holmen! I wish you all could have heard her perform her talent selection, an opera piece entitled “Art Is Calling For Me.” It was amazing! We are so proud of her and all she’s accomplished this year. Not only did she work hard to prepare for Miss Wisconsin, but she also worked hard academically as a freshman at Viterbo University. She was able to juggle everything very well and even made the Dean’s List.
We are also very proud of all of our local area contestants! Congratulations to Beth Bruzek for being a top five finalist and to Abby Ryan and Kristina Smaby for making the top ten! Great job, ladies!
This week, on Thursday, we will be starting rehearsals for the 2007 Miss Holmen Pageant. Katherine will be busy preparing for the show and assisting the contestants with all phases of competition. Our show will be held on August 10th at the Holmen High School auditorium. Look for more details to come!
